Juliette Gordon Low Mug

Temporarily out of stock!

The Savannah-born Low, nicknamed "Daisy," founded the Girl Scouts of the USA (originally called American Girl Guides) in 1912 in order to bring young women of all backgrounds to an appreciation of the outdoors and a realization of self-reliance. Low was intent on teaching girls to be citizens rather than simply potential wives and homemakers, and her goals remain embedded in Girl Scouts philosophy today.

This mug was illustrated by Andi Zeisler, Bitch Media co-founder. Our Adventures in Feministory "Innovators" set also showcases Anna Julia Cooper, Ada Lovelace, and Madam C.J. Walker.
