Feminist year

its been a year where women around the world have stood up even putting themselves in danger. Pussy Riot and the young woman in India shot because she wanted to go to school. Women in the middle east campaigning to have the right to drive a car. just want to say thank you to all the brave women in 2013 and hope that sisterhood can become strong in 2014 to support all women's causes for freedom

That Ani DiFranco summary is

That Ani DiFranco summary is awful. It should read "WoC outraged that Ani was hosting a feminist event at a plantation museum/hotel, Ani DiFranco refuses to see anything wrong with it until a bunch of feminists remind her that this is what happens with white feminists 99% of the time. Ani cancels event without so much as an apology and takes her toys home."

But hey, Bitch is primarily run by white feminists so there you go.

How dare you assume

That this project is primarily run by "white feminists" ?? If this project had not been addressing "white privilege" as frequently as it does, for as long as it has (and I am a longtime reader) your assumption was challenged before you commented.

Bitchmedia, don't let that remark get you down. Keep up the important work!

"Important work" =

"Important work" = whitewashing an issue of racism in feminism!
