Emilly is a former Editorial and New Media intern for Bitch Media. She's been writing for Bitch and a handful of other publications since 2012. Her writing typically focuses on critiques of pop culture with an intersectional feminist lens and covers issues regarding race, class, and gender. She studied social work and education at Portland State University, is a current MLIS candidate at San Jose State University, and was named a 2016 ALA Spectrum Scholarship receipient.
