Who I Am:
I write books and am publishing next year; my spouse and I grow grapes (wine, eventually) and lupines and weeds, live in Hungary, travel to places with plentiful ruins and cats, possess the ability to smell static electricity (my mediocre superpower), and read to necessary excess. More on my blog, but that's a good deal of frivolity.
What I'm Listening To:

Paul Simon - for as long as I can recall...
Ella Fitzgerald - that voice sends chills up the spine...
Ani D - I think my favorite's Knuckledown...

What I'm Watching:

Frida (have adored the eponymous artist since the 3rd grade)
Singing in the Rain (not exactly feminist, but I can't resist that reality of constant tap)

What I'm Reading:

Almost anything...
Susan Sontag's The Volcano Lover - passionate, lush, feminist and gorgeously complex...
Virginia Woolf's Orlando - how an Elizabethan nobleman wandered Europe, became a woman overnight, and observed western civilization in all its flames and glaciers
Jean Genet's Prisoner of Love, a document of the struggles and the meaning of the Palestinian fedayeen resistance movements, with his own po-mo queer perspective
Tristram Shandy, for though the eighteenth century had its problematic sexual politics I can't resist the gentleman's ramblings
but I must admit my favorite book is Nabokov's Pale Fire - I'm a style-addict at heart.
