Who I Am:
Former city planner. Laid off from City of Portland on August 12, 2009. Been floundering around ever since, trying to figure out what to do with my life, whilst constantly checking the job listings on craigslist and getting bummed about the utter lack of living-wage jobs in this town. Heading back to school this Fall to fulfill prerequisite courses in preparation to enter the Master of Education program at Portland State, to become a kindergarten teacher. Planning's dead, so it's time to move on. I'm from Baton Rouge, Louisiana. My partner/boyfriend/companion/whatever and I have a lot of cats, all rescued. Three are from the state of Mississippi, one is from Texas, and two are from Oregon. We also have a dog, also a rescue, from Mississippi. I'm vegan except for half-and-half in my coffee. All the vegan creamers are gross.
What I'm Listening To:

Vampire Weekend
Blind Pilot

What I'm Watching:

Daily Show, Colbert Report, Democracy Now, The Office (American version), South Park, Futurama, Oregon Experience, Oregon Field Guide, Spongebob Squarepants, MacLaughlin Group, weirdo Portland cable access shows, educational programming on the Portland Community College cable access channel
